The Sphinx Competition was created to encourage, develop and recognize the classical music talent of young people in the African American and Latino communities. The Sphinx Competition also works to address the isolation, limited access to professional instruction & events, and also to rectify the cultural stereotypes associated with minorities and the classical music realm. See how the Sphinx Competition helps young people uncover new dimensions that will shape their futures in the music world.

Think Detroit - A couple of Detroit-based lawyers dropped their law careers and developed an unusual program that helps inner-city youth catch a ride on the information superhighway by using sports to build the community and teach kids how to become participants instead of bystanders in the digital revolution. Think Detroit is turning balls into bytes.

Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit is an internationally acclaimed, multicultural youth theater that was initially developed as an outreach program. Today the organization stands as one of the nations best multicultural arts organizations that develop young performing artists through comprehnsive theatrical and musical training. The Mosaic Youth Theatre - artistic home to young actors, singers and theatrical technicians who are committed to the arts.
