POSITIVELY DETROIT JULY 2001 SPECIAL
WB20' s Emmy award winning public affairs series Positively Detroit highlights the success and progress of our Detroit communities. In a half-hour special, Positively Detroit celebrated Detroit's 300th Birthday by highlighting Detroit's historical heritage with focus on the history of television, jazz, and filmmaking in Detroit.

On a musical note, long before the "Motown Sound", Detroiters listened to a "new" American music style called Jazz. If you think Hollywood was the original king of celluloid fantasies - guess again. From the driving force behind the lens to the silver screen, Detroit was home to several pioneers of filmmaking
If you or someone you know is active in a local project or organization benefiting the city of Detroit, we want to hear from you.
